By Metro:

The closest metro station to St. Stephen's Basilica is Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út Metro station (yellow line). This would leave you at Andrássy Avenue which is one of the main streets of Budapest, from there you can easily see the back of the Basilica (It is the highest building in town, can't miss it babe!) So just walk there and you'll find us in front of the Basilica. Look for the guides with light-blue umbrellas, t-shirts and name tags.

On foot:

Budapest is a very walkable city, you can get to the main attractions in 15 mins walking and St. Stephen's Basilica is the biggest church in Budapest and also the highest building of the city (together with the Parliament) so is difficult to miss it out. You can walk to St. Stephen's Basilica from your Hostel, just make sure you take our flyer-map.

"Had a really cool tour with Dea"

My friend and I took the free walking tour with Dea. We’ve done walking tours all around Europe but Dea was the best! She knew he city so well and was so passionate about the city’s history! The tour lasted around 3 hours but it flew by for us. We really loved it! Thanks Dea!

"Amazing tour of Budapest"

I went on this free tour last week and it was so much more interesting than any other free tour I had been on. The guide with the brown hair (sorry I can’t remember) was really nice, very informative and she gave myself and my Mother good recommendations for where to eat. I will be telling my friends about it :)

"Awesome tour: great balance of history and good fun!"

I really liked this free tour by HostelCulture. My guide Brigi was so enthusiastic about the city, she every inch and corner of Budapest it seems! Also she made it really easy to meet new people on the tour. So it didn’t really feel like a formal tour, but like hanging out with new people and checking out this beautiful city. I wouldn’t just recommend it, i’d come back to do it again!
